Our ultra premium Russian-style vodka has been created in an effort to replicate the vodka of, perhaps, the most notorious vodka drinker of all times, Grigory Efimovich Rasputin.
A mysterious figure in Russian history, Grigory was a peasant who gained notoriety with his self-proclaimed powers of healing and prediction. He was an eccentric figure in the court of Czar Nicholas II of Russia whose growing influence and hedonistic lifestyle eventually led to his assassination in 1916.
His life and death live on in the legend of the "mad monk."
Steeped in history and lore, Mad Monk comes from Zao "Avs Cristall," an expert Russian distillery. It is four times distilled for a smooth finish that is the stuff of legends.
