Mayacamas Vineyards
Mt. Veeder, Napa Valley, California/
mayacamas.com
Mayacamas Vineyards, founded in 1889, is a wine estate located in the Mayacamas Mountains which
divide the Napa and Sonoma Valleys. The old stone winery is perched on the edge of a dormant
volcano, near the top of Mt. Veeder. Fifty-two acres of vines are planted on mountain sides ranging
from 1,800 to 2,400 feet above sea level. The winery focuses on limited-production varietal wines with
bold and distinct flavors. Their Cabernet Sauvignon is one of the most sought after in California, having
long ago earned "cult status" amongst the state's most legendary wines. |

Chardonnay, 2004
Mt. Veeder |
The 2004 has a bit of fresh lemongrass character in the nose and
the Mayacamas usual light hint of oak. Those facets are complimented by a tart, steely structure in the mouth, followed by faint pineapple nuances. While highly enjoyable now it will, as usual, develop additional richness, viscosity and smoothness for several more years.
Also available in 375mL bottles. |

Cabernet Sauvignon, 2002
Mt. Veeder |
The 2002 Cabernet Sauvignon is classically balanced in terms of acid and tannin structure. The wine is showing very pure berry varietal character in the nose and revealing its Mt. Veeder origins with side notes of licorice and bay leaf. On the palate, the typical Mayacamas
blackberry, black and red cherry, pepper, and mint are all in evidence.
Enjoy with all kinds of beef, lamb, and game dishes. Also available in
375mL and 1.5L bottles. |

Cabernet Sauvignon, 1995
Mt. Veeder |
This fine vintage is a prototypical Mayacamas Cabernet, briary in the nose with hints of cherry and raspberry that carry over into the mouth. Enjoyable now, particularly with an hour or more of breathing before service, it will grow in depth and complexity for many years, while still maintaining great richness of fruit. |
