D'Aragon
Cariñena, Spain / avantiwines.com

The wine region known as D.O. Cariñena is one of the oldest appellations in Spain created in 1932 and it is believed to be the native homeland of the Garnacha (Grenache) grape. Legend in the region has it that back in the Middle Ages when evil Dragons roamed wild, a campaign was waged to rid the land of these beasts. With each Dragon killed, a Garnacha vine sprouted in the Dragon's place and thus D'Aragon has many an Old Vine of Garnacha.
