The Menhir winery is situated in an ideal part of Puglia - this tropical, sunny place is perfect for growing
the region's top grapes, especially Primitivo. Producing artisanal wines of distinct character is part of the
winery's mission to create a viticultural identity for the Puglia. Even the name they chose, which means
"Standing Stone" echoes these sentiments. The "Menhir," primitive stone sculptures, are found all over Salento. The winemakers liken themselves to these stone monoliths, proudly standing the test of time as their
vines survive the onslaught of the elements. They are beacons marking Puglia's past, present and future. |
