Since the 1980's, Armando Parusso's son and daughter, Marco and Tiziana Parusso, have taken an ever
increasing role in their family's great Barolo estate. A newly finished winery in the year 2000 allowed
Marco to finally age his wines under the conditions he considers optimal. Therefore he was able to make
the most of this stunning vintage with a concept of purity, elevating his wines to new levels of complexity.
Best known for their Barolos, the intense, powerful and concentrated wines of Parusso are sought out by
wine collectors and universally heralded by wine critics. |

"Coste Mosconi"
Barolo DOCG, 2003
Piemonte |
"Le Coste-Mosconi" is a blend of two vineyards that sit on the southernmost edge of the Barolo appellation. Older vines (40 to 60 years old) sitting at a high altitude (more than 1,200 feet) produce a Barolo of great concentration and lively acidity - just the thing for a sultry year such as 2003. Deep, black fruits are sweet and long; plenty of punch on the very long finish. A mix of peppers and baking spices show on the penetrating nose. Vibrant.
