Domaines et Chateaux d'Alain Brumont
Sud-Ouest, France / afrenchparadox.com

Considered one of the top-ten winemakers in France by Decanter Magazine, Robert Parker, Jr., and Wine Spectator, Alain Brumont is in very elite company. He specializes in the unique wine styles and grape varietals produced and grown in the Sud-Ouest (South West) region of France. More than any other wine he makes, he is best known for the Tannat-based wines of Madiran, including Chateau Bouscasse. Looking at the press and accolades he has received for this wine, it shows the extraordinary qualities he felt existed in such a "noble" varietal. These, combined harmoniously with Madiran's microclimate and the particular texture of the soil, allows the Tannat vine to transcend viticultural rules specially made by the winegrower himself
