Revolutions start with groups of angry young people in dark bars, old sheds and damp cellars. Think France
and Russia. Think England in the 70's when the great rock bands got too great, too grand and too
expensive. Then punk was born. In 2003 when Australia's 'Great Wines' got too great, grand and
expensive, and the great wineries were tearing up grower contracts and turning away fabulous fruit, a
group of wild winemakers and wild grape growers (wild? bloody furious!) began to plot, plan ... and
ferment great grapes in cheap rainwater tubs, in an old McLaren Vale bar called ... RedHeads. |
